A Case of Spontaneous Cholesterol Crystal Embolism
I'm pleased to share another of my article published in the latest issue of Annals Academy of Medicine, Sg (AAMS), about a case of spontaneous cholesterol crystal embolism (CCE), presented to our Renal department with "blue toes syndrome" with renal failure. While CCE is mostly iatrogenic, spontaneous CCE is rare with reported incidence of only 2%.
