CSN 2012 Scientific Meeting

The 2012 CSN annual general meeting will be held April 25-29 in St. John’s, Newfoundland. The planning committee is putting together a fantastic social program, and the education committee has been hard at work on the scientific program. Some highlights of the preliminary program include:

• Scientific sessions:
  • focus on pathogenesis, epidemiology and treatment of glomerulonephritis
  • review of KDIGO practice guidelines on glomerulonephritis
  • epidemiology and treatment of CKD and ESRD in aboriginal populations
  • management of the transition from paediatric to adult ESRD program
  • better vascular access care
  • challenges in translating knowledge into practice
• Joint session with CST: transplantation for the general nephrologist
• Joint session with Canadian Society of Renal Pharmacists: adverse events with common drugs in renal patients
